Safari North Wildlife Park Coming to Brainerd MN in 2014

[gallery ids="1025,1026,1027"] Brainerd, Minnesota’s Playground offers a wide array of activities for any age and any interest. This includes our scenic lakes for fishing and watersports, two racetracks including the Midwest’s largest speedway, dozens of world class golf courses, Paul Bunyan Land amusement center, world class off road cycling and mountain biking, hundreds of miles of hiking trails, biking trails and routes, and so much more. Memorial Day (target date), 2014 will bring another great attraction to our area with the opening of the Safari North Wildlife Park featuring Puzzles the Giraffe and a wide variety of animals from around the world. The park will allow people to pet and feed the giraffe, offer camel and pony rides, and they currently plan on offering wildlife educational programs. Sectioning off the park into different continents including North America. South America, Africa, Australia, and others will allow visitors to identify the animals with their home country. Another unique feature of the park will be the fenced in areas where the motocross track was previously. This area will be fenced and split in half with one half replicating an African savanna and the other half representing Asia. Animals will reside in these designated areas together as they would in an actual savannah. After searching for a home for several years and researching many different towns across the state Brainerd quickly became the perfect location due to the large volume of traffic that arrives and passes through here in the summer months and the availability of affordable land. The park will be located just a few miles south of Brainerd and Baxter allowing easy access to all visitors and especially those who enjoy the lakes area from the comfort of our great lodging properties. We are very excited about this new addition to the long list of attractions and activities available here in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Keep an eye on our Brainerd Facebook page for more updates on the park and photos of Puzzles the Giraffe as we hope to have them soon.
