Birds observed this past week in the Brainerd Lakes area include: Bald Eagle, Turkey Vulture, Great-horned Owl, Red-tailed Hawk, Great-blue Heron, Sandhill Crane, Goose, Mallard, Woodduck, Pied-billed Grebe, Great Egret, Raven, Cardinal, Phoebe, Eastern Bluebird, White-throated Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow, Eastern Towhee, Chipping Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Junco, Harris Sparrow, House Finch, Goldfinch, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Northern Flicker, Pileated Woodpecker, Red-winged Blackbird, Cedar Waxwing, Yellow-rumped Warbler and Wild Turkey.
