Bird sightings for the area include: Common Loon, Mallard, Common Goldeneye, Common Merganser, Hooded Merganser, Woodduck, Blue-winged Teal, Goose, Great-blue Heron, Tundra Swan, Trumpeter Swan, Bald Eagle, Turkey Vulture, Northern Harrier, Eastern Bluebird, Tree Swallow, Eastern Meadowlark, American Woodcock, Fox Sparrow, Junco, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Song Sparrow, Red-winged Blackbird, Pine Siskin, Ring-neck Duck, Lesser Scaup, Sandhill Crane, Killdeer and Coopers Hawk.
